Life Keeps Going

And it keeps us busy! Rob is doing better and that is a HUGE blessing. He's ready to go back to work, but the physical therapist says not just yet. It's really funny because I'm pretty sure he's not ready but he is tired of sitting around the house. He's just not that kind of man. He finds things to do to stay busy, but he would rather be working. He has to take his work boot to his therapist so the therapist can make an insert that will help him to walk on his foot better. Keep praying.

Dentist Appointment

I never forget a dentist appointment! Can't say that again. I forgot one on Monday. I was supposed to be there at 9 a.m. So when I got this phone call at 10:17 and they asked me if I was on my way, I said, "to where? and who are you?" I cannot believe I forgot it. I got it rescheduled for tomorrow at 10:30 and I am ready! My teeth are really looking forward to this. Ok so I am crazy. I don't care. I love my mouth to be clean and I love the clean after Mrs. Penny gets finished.

It's Been A While...

...since I have posted here. I guess I better get back to it. I said in a previous post that I had a busy summer ahead of me and I sure wasn't joking! I'm still busy. Right now our church is having workdays to get our school ready. We are moving the school to church property. Thank You, Lord. Of course there has only been one workday, and then we had enrollment day, and next Saturday will be our next workday. Hopefully, it will be the last one. Some of us are doing some of the work during the week. We are looking forward to great school year with a new pastor/principal and new location.
Robert starts his second week of physical therapy. During his first appointment, they discovered that he has lost communication with his right big toe because of the gout and not using the foot. So that is a big challenge for him. It really bugged him that he was telling that toe to move and it wouldn't. Poor baby. Anyhow, he has at least 4-6 weeks of physical therapy before he can go back to work. But, it does seem like an end to this is in sight. I thank you so much for all your prayers, but please don't stop praying yet. Even though we can see an end, it's still a long way off.

A Glimmer of Hope

I have been gone all week at thet A.C.E. Administrator's and Supervisor's Training. I got up at 5 a.m every morning and wasn't home until after 7 every evening. It was a tiring week and a lot of information was given to us to help our school. On Wednesday of this week, I took a day off from training to go to the rheumatologist with Robert. He seemed to have every confidence that this gout can go away. Obviously, it can't be cured. He is attacking agressively with meds. And then in about a week, he wants Rob in physical therapy to start moving and using his foot again. Ok, I came home yesterday, my last day of training by the way. Well, not really home, but to my mother-in-love's home because she cooked supper for us. Anyway, yesterday was Rob's first day on his new meds. I looked at his foot and the swelling looked like it was down. That was good, but seen that already. When we got ready to leave, I glanced over at him and he had 2, count 'em, 2 shoes on! I was so excited. I cannot tell you how high my heart leaped when I saw that. Of course he said it hurts like crazy to take it off, but HE CAN GET IT ON! I pray that it continues to get well. Today it looks good also. These new meds can cause his sugar levels to go up so please continue to pray for him.
